Dangling Modifiers

Dangling modifiers occur when writers leave out the target word or words being modified.

How to Fix Dangling Modifiers

Fix dangling modifiers by adding the missing target words. In the example above, the phrase After starting the Robot applies to the individual who began the dance moves, not the dance floor itself. Thus, it needs the target word Siri added. Additionally, we need with the verb noticed to complete the main clause Siri noticed the dance floor suddenly emptied.
